HELP school kids who have to walk up to 9 kms over hills to reach their school near Durban every day. DONATE new or second hand computers, bicycles, books etc
Siphesihle High School is located among the beautiful rolling hills of Inchanga/ Hammersdale area at the outskirts of Durban. They have 1113 learners and with no local transport most have to walk long distance, some of them up to 9 kms to reach school every day. The school has no computers, no phone, very few study books and no library. They do have a set of dedicated teachers who are trying their best – but in spite of their best effort they know, like every year, a majority of the students will fail in matric.
The learners and teachers don’t see much beauty in the rolling hills, just one big struggle. If they can atleast have proper education facility, and pass matric, the daily trek of upto 18kms to and from school would be worth their while. You can make a difference by donating new or used computers, projector, books, tablets and maybe even a bicycle.
You are welcome to come and donate to the school directly or contact us for other arrangements. Your donations goes to department of education directly and that allows you with your BEE score card.
